Missing boy back home after 5 yrs
Nellore: Following an initiative taken by a rights group, a missing boy returned to his parents living in North Girijan Colony of Kota panchayat on Saturday.
According to information, the boy, identified as Prasad, 17, and his two brothers, Venu and Chenchaiah were taken to Chennai by one Subrahmanyam of the village to employ them in some company in 2008. However, he sent them to Jammu Kashmir without information to their parents Katti Subrahmanyam and Polamma.
The couple lodged a complaint against Subrahmanyam at Kota police station in 2009 when there was no communication either from Subrahmanyam or their children. In this backdrop, Adilabad police contacted Kota police a week back after they found Prasad working in a dhaba at Gudihatnoor in Adilabad.
Prasad said that he and his brothers worked in a dhaba in Jammu and Kashmir and his brother Venu escaped when the dhaba owner thrashed him over a petty issue. Prasad says Chenchaiah is still working in the dhaba. However, Prasad was shifted to Gudihatnoor at the instance of a Telugu man, Sarma.
Some rights group activists collected the details and informed Gudihatnoor police and they in turn contacted Kota police.
