MLA Rathod gives up

Hyderabad: After four months of playing hide and seek, Khanapur MLA Suman Rathod finally surrendered before a court in Miyapur on Friday. Ms Rathod had been underground after KPHB police, on September 01, 2012, booked a case against her for grabbing land.
Her bail petitions were by several courts, before she approached the Supreme Court, only to meet the same fate, on December 3, 2012.
Ms Rathod is accused of forging documents of a 400 sq. yd. plot of land along with three others and selling it for Rs 1.80 crore. The other three accused were arrested earlier.
Mujahid Khan, one of the accused confessed that Ms Rathod was involved and had taken Rs 40 lakh for settlement.
The tainted MLA's plea for bail was again rejected by the Miyapur court on Friday and she was sent to judicial custody.
