Mother Dairy chairman abducted
Challa Srinivas Rao, chairman of Mother Dairy who is also a civil contractor, and affiliated to the Telugu Desam of Oguru village under Kandukur mandal of Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh , was kidnapped at Baraat road of Sahibganj district, Jharkhand, along with his accountant, K. Narsing Rao and driver, Mannu, when they were returning to their camp office around 10.20 pm.
Mr Rao had recently got a contract worth Rs. 20 crore for constructing a road. A complaint was lodged with the local police.
The Sahibganj superintendent of police, A. Vijayalakshmi, said that they had received a complaint and a search was launched.
Prakasam SP K. Raghuram Reddy said that they were in touch with the Jharkhand police and assisting them from this end. Srinivas Rao’s wife, Thulsamma, lives in Hyderabad with their children.
His brother, Nageswar Rao, has gone to Sahibganj. Telugu Rythu state president Karanam Balaramkrishnamurthy, former MLA Divi Sivaram, TDP Prakasam president Damacharla Janardhan and others contacted the Sahibganj police on the phone and asked them to trace Srinivas Rao.
