MP BJP welcomes Ayodhya verdict
The Madhya Pradesh BJP executive passed a political resolution on the first day of its two day session which began here on Sunday welcoming the order of the Lucknow bench of Allahabad high court in the Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi case.
The resolution says: “BJP welcomes the Allahabad high court order in the Ayodhay Ram Janmabhoomi case”. It praises the people of Madhya Pradesh for maintaining peace and goodwill following the Ayodhya verdict. The resolution also goes on to pat the state chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for steps being taken by his government to ensure all-round progress.
In his inaugural address, the state BJP president Prabhat launched a scathing attack on the Congress party holding it responsible for rising prices and also for allowing huge quantities of food grains to rot in godowns in different parts of the country instead of distributing it to the poor.
He said that instead of providing food to the poor and needy, the UPA government led by the Congress party, was busy deflecting charges of corruption linked with the organisation of the just concluded Commonwealth Games.
He condemned corruption and said those who have brought bad name to the country should not go unpunished.
Mr Jha said that the BJP flag is flying high all over the country. Their party’s victory in the Kathvas byelection and in all major municipal corporations in Gujarat, Bhatgaon by-election in Chhattisgarh, Bengalaru Municipal Corporation, Nizamabad byelection in Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan municipality elections and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad’s victory in Delhi University is testimony to this, he said adding even in Madhya Pradesh, ruling BJP had won in 10 of the 13 urban panchayat and municipal elections recently.
In the coming days, Mr Jha said, three Assembly byelections are to be held in Madhya Pradesh. Elections in two constituencies — Maheshwar and Kuskshi — would be held simultaneously, he said adding that the BJP would do its best to wrest both these seats held till now by the Congress party.
Mr Jha congratulated the state chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for the “success” of the Global Investors Summit at Khajuraho and praised his efforts for attracting investment and putting Madhya Pradesh on the fast track of development.
