MP Cong prepares list of probables for poll tickets

The Madhya Pradesh Congress election committee headed by state party chief Kantilal Bhuria has completed three-rounds of meetings and prepared the panel of names for allotment of party tickets for all the 230 Assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh. These names would be forwarded to the screening committee for a final decision which would coincide with the announcement of the poll schedule by the Election commission.

State Congress president Bhuria said on Sunday that the 22-member state Congress election committee, which has prominent Congress leaders from Madhya Pradesh as members, including Digvijay Singh, Kamal Nath, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Ajay Singh, Meenakshi Natarajan and Arun Yadav as members, has concluded three-rounds of meetings in New Delhi and prepared the panel of names for all the Assembly seats in the state. These meetings were held in a cordial atmosphere and there was unity of purpose and general consensus on the distribution of party tickets among all state leaders, said state Congress spokesperson Abhay Dubey.
After completing the ground work for ticket distribution, Union minister and state Congress campaign committee chief Jyotiraditya Scindia will start his whirlwind campaign tour by addressing party rallies at Vidisha, Shajapur and Ratlam on Monday. After a road show at Ratlam and a night halt at Indore, Mr Scindia is scheduled to address public rallies at Katni, Satna and Tikamgarh on Tuesday. He would start the next round of campaign by addressing a rally at Sheopur, Datia and Bhind on September 27.
Union minister Kamal Nath will begin his first round of campaigning by joining Mr Scindia to address public rallies at Betul, Raisen and Jabalpur on September 30. The next day, he is scheduled to address rallies at Dindori, Singrauli and Rewa.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
