MP ex-minister arrested over sodomy charge

Madhya Pradesh’s tainted former finance minister Raghavji was arrested Tuesday afternoon from a relative’s flat, where he was hiding after the police filed an FIR against him Sunday on sodomy charges.

After a medical examination, Raghavji was produced in court and sent to judicial custody till July 22. He was sent to the Central Jail here.
Leader of the Opposition Ajay Singh, accompanied by Congress MLAs, met the governor and sought chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s dismissal, accusing him of procuring the CD that showed Raghavji in a compromising position with his male servant from the police and getting it tampered with to protect Raghavji.
