Hyderabad: A teenaged girl died in an accident at Begumpet on Tuesday evening thanks to terrible road conditions and heavy silting.
Riya Gudial, 17, who was riding pillion on a bike, fell when the vehicle skidded off the road near Anand Theatre at Begumpet. She was run over by an RTC bus that was behind the bike. Locals and the police took her to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her dead.
Riya, daughter of Sushil Kumar from Hasmathpet in Bowenpally, had passed her Intermediate from IClass CDR Junior College at Secunderabad and was waiting for her Engineering counselling.
Locals, meanwhile, allege that bad roads coupled with debris and sand from building demolitions that was laid on the road due to rains led to bikes skidding off the road.
