New Delhi, Sept 28: The race for the interlocutors for Kashmir has begun.

The first draft of the list of names under consideration of the government include the AICC General Secretary, Mr Digvijay Singh, Congress leader and minister of state in the Prime Ministers office, Mr Prithiviraj Chavan, the Congress leader and minister for corporate and minority Affairs, Mr Salman Khursheed, the former civil servant and former vice-chancellor at Aligarh Muslim University, Dr Mahmood-ur-Rehman, the former vice-chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia Mr Mushirul Hasan, the Chief Information Commissioner Wajahat Habibullah, and the founder-Chairman of Infosys, Mr Narayan Murthy.

Sources said the group of interlocutors, consisting of more than three persons, is expected to be a fair mix of people from various fields.
