Nanda is questioned a 3rd time on murder
The call detail records (CDR) of industrialist Anil Nanda have confirmed that he was present in New Delhi’s New Friends Colony area on June 4 when his driver was set on fire, top police officials confirmed. In a related development, the deceased’s brother claimed he received a threat call, allegedly from one of Mr Nanda’s associates, on Friday, asking him to stay away from the case.
Janeshwar Sharma succumbed to his burn injuries on June 15 and a case of murder was registered at the NFC police station. “The CDR of Nanda shows he was present in the NFC area and he had talked to his associates, Dheeraj Bhallani and Panday, who were at their Mathura Road office when the alleged murder took place. It is, however, not clear who killed Janeshwar,” a senior police official said. Mr Nanda has denied any involvement in the driver’s murder.
He was questioned by the police for the third time.
