National Anthem, martyrs on tissue leads to stir

A local restaurant called Kakori House has landed in trouble for printing the names of Kakori martyrs and also the national anthem on their paper napkins.
The eatery is named after Kakori that lies on the outskirts of Lucknow and is famous for a train robbery that took place here in August 1925 during the Independence movement and was led by freedom fighters Ram Prasad Bismil and Ashfaqullah Khan, both of whom were members of the Hindustan Republican Association.
Kakori is also famous for its kebabs that are known for their melt-in-the-mouth taste. The eatery in Aminabad locality in the state capital serves the famous Kakori Kebabs and was apparently trying to cash in on the sentiments by printing the names of Kakori martyrs as well as the national anthem on the napkins.
Avneesh Dixit, a local lawyer who visited the restaurant on Wednesday, saw the napkins and informed his colleagues about it.
Soon enough, a large mob comprising mainly lawyers, staged a demonstration outside the restaurant and then went to the Qaiderbagh police station with the napkins and lodged a FIR against the management of the eatery. Avneesh Dixit later told reporters that they would not allow this kind of blasphemy and would ensure that the people responsible for this are punished. SSP Lucknow R.K. Chaturvedi said a complaint had been registered.
