Naveen lobbies for Jaya’s support

Orissa chief minister Naveen Patnaik, who on Monday had termed conferment of powers on the proposed National Counter-Terrorism Centre (NCTC) to arrest and carry out searches under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 as a draconian move, on Tuesday evening urged Tamil Nadu chief minister J. Jayalalitha to oppose the step.
