Nellore: Nellore rural legislator Anam Vivekananda Reddy has demanded TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s “immediate” arrest for his alleged statement describing the Leftist extremist groups’ (Maoists) agenda as his party’s own agenda.
Reddy also demanded that the state government impose a blanket ban on the TRS owing to its president openly backing the Maoists’ programme.
Speaking to the mediapersons here on Monday, he said that K. Chandrasekhar Rao should be put behind bars as his statements were causing panic among the people of Seemandhra origin living in Hyderabad.
“People from Seemandhra toiled hard for decades to build new Hyderabad. Therefore, they have more right on the city than KCR has. It has become his habit to intimidate the people of Seemandhra living in Telangana on one pretext or other,” Reddy alleged.
The Nellore MLA alleged that KCR had in the past asked his party men to take over all educational institutes run by the people from Andhra region. “Who is KCR? Do we need his permission to go to Hyderabad or for doing business in Telangana?” Reddy wondered adding, “Every family in Seemandhra region has got at least one close relative living in Hyderabad.
Stressing that the capital is not an inheritance of KCR, he demanded that the police immediately file cases against him (KCR). He said that the people of Seemandhra would extend full support to the 72-hour agitation call given by the non-governmental organisations based in Andhra Pradesh.
Expressing concern over the 11 persons having “sacrificed” their lives for the cause of  Seemandhra, he urged the people from that region not to lose heart, reminding them that it won’t be possible for the UPA government to pass a bill on Telangana state in Parliament. Reddy asserted that the MLAs representing Seeman-dhra will vote against the proposed Bill.
He said that the Centre had already constituted a high-level committee to look into the issues affecting Seemandhra region. The panel was formed in view of Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s and PCC chief Botsa Sathyanarayana’s open advocacy for an undivided state.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
