New twist to LeT man story
Two days after the surrender of a militant associated with Lashkar-e-Tayyaba, Liaqat Hussain Shah, along with his wife and three minor kids in the border district of Poonch, new angles have emerged in his story, including dispute over the nationality issue of his kids. Both the parents are Indian nationals while their kids, between the age group of 8-2 years, were born in PoK after they (parents) had ex-filtrated there in 2001. The police is, however, maintaining that the issue would be settled as per the law of the land.
Another twist in his story relates to his surrender. The police sources maintain that he won’t be the beneficiary under the existing surrender policy in the state as he was caught infiltrating to this side along with the weapons viz., one AK-47, two AK magazines, one pistol, six rounds and one cellphone.
In the meantime Liaqat, who was arrested while infiltrating to this side of the border from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) on Saturday, along with his wife and kids by the Army, has allegedly made sensational disclosures during his interrogation about the floating of a new terror outfit Jammu Kashmir Movement (JKM) by the ISI. According to Liaqat, a founder member of JKM, new terror outfit has been floated in PoK to continue subversive activities in this part of J&K.
