NIC develops new web portal for schoolchildren

Rajahmundry: The National Informatics Centre (NIC) of East Godavari developed new web application ‘analysis of examination results’ to cater to the needs of school education department in district.
In the first phase of the programme the application caters to the needs of 567 high schools under government, municipal, ZP administrations. Under this programme the results and marks obtained of schoolchildren in each of the subject from class VI to Class X will be listed with the name of the student including that of the subject teacher from the present academic year 2012-13.
The details of weekly, monthly tests, quarterly and half-yearly examinatio-ns and other tests conducted by the particular school will also be displayed. On logging on to the web site ‘East Godavari.nic.in’ with the password ‘analysis of examination results’ the details of any particular student can be had.
This web application is expected to assess the overall performance of the student and to initiate the measures to improve in the subjects the student lags behind. In addition to this, the parents can also have the details of performance of their wards independently without going in for the progress card.
On the other hand, the details will also help in improvement the performance of any particular student as the details of all tests and examinations will be available in the web application.
East Godavari DEO K.V. Srinivasulu Reddy said on Wednesday that this is a very good development which caters to the needs of about two lakh school children in the district. When contacted the teachers’ uni-on UTF general secretary K. Satti Raju appreciated the web portal.
