Nilgiris youth found dead in car in Abu Dhabi
Ooty: The grief-stricken parents of P. Nithin, 27, a research assistant working in UAE, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Abu Dhabi, have approached the authorities concerned for his body to be brought back to their home town for the performance of the last rites and funeral.
Hailing from Erumad hamlet, bordering Kerala at Pandalur near here, Nithin who completed his post-graduation at the Tamil Nadu Agriculture University in Coimbatore in 2008, moved to Dubai in 2010 where he was working as a research assistant in a university.
He reportedly went missing on July 9 evening when he left in a rented car along with an unknown person. He was found dead in an abandoned car, parked near the warehouse of a private merchandise company in Abu Dhabi on July 13.
His parents, Padmanabhan, a retired school teacher, and mother, Rukmani, a teacher in a government school in Erumad, are in a state of shock. Family sources said that Nithin had flown down to Erumad, his home town, on June 18 and was with his parents till July 7.
The family is yet receive any information from Dubai on the cause of his death though murder is suspected. T. Senthilkumar, the SP of Nilgiris, said that the police here had not received any information about the cause of death.
