Nithyananda tape genuine: Experts
The videotape that exposed controversial spiritual guru Nithyananda Swami’s alleged sexcapades leading to a criminal case against him by the Chennai police and subsequently the Bidadi police and Karnataka’s Criminal Investigation Department is “genuine” and “untampered”, said highly placed official sources. The videotape
was sent for forensic verification by the CID, which is investigating the case.
The forensic experts have certified that the tape is “original, unedited and untampered. It has not been morphed,” said the source.
Now the agency has asked the forensic experts for the video-authentication of the tape to rule out any possible doubt, of a Nithyananda look-alike in the tape.
The video allegedly shot by Nithyananda’s former devotee Lenin Karuppan in his ashram had the tainted guru with a Tamil actress in a compromising position. The originality of the tape was questioned by his ashram Dhyanapeetham and Nithyananda all through remained evasive when questioned if the man in the video footage was him.
