No booze, no cards, Youth Congress delegates told
The Indian Youth Congress has virtually banned smoking, consumption of alcohol, and playing cards at the venue of its two-day national meet.
The list of 'Do's and Don’ts' issued to the Youth Congress delegates consists of 19 suggestions.
They are, “No smoking, no consumption of alcohol, pan masala or tobacco, playing cards, no valuables like laptops and cameras.“
All participants are expected to stay in the venue itself and in the space allotted to them.
“Please do not make requests for change of accommodation, adhere to all meal timings, keep surroundings neat and clean, drop garbage in bins.“
“Your are expected to tidy your own beds, keep toilets and bathrooms clean and in hygienic condition.“
Male participants are not allowed to enter the accommodation that has been reserved for females, family members are not allowed to stay on the premises or participate in the sessions.
“Maintain the decorum of the house. No unnecessary slogan shouting, banners and flags will be allowed.”
Fight against corruption
Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi noting that corruption had virtually seeped into the nation’s political system, on Monday declared his party would show 'zero-tolerance' towards it.
Addressing a two-day national conventionelected YC office-bearers, Mr Gandhi urged young people to join the fight against corruption.
