‘No DA case on Mulayam’
Samajwadi Party MP Ramgopal Yadav on Monday said that there was no disproportionate assets case against SP president Mulayam Singh Yadav or his son Akhilesh Yadav.
“There is no such disproportionate assets case against them and only a preliminary probe has being done against them. The report that case was registered which has also been found to be baseless,” he told reporters on the sidelines of a function here on Monday.
The SP national general secretary said his party was prepared for general elections whether they were held in November-December or in March-April. He said that the party leadership was reviewing the candidates and was fully prepared to contest the polls.
Prof. Ramgopal firmly ruled out any possibility of an alliance with the Congress. “There is no such possibility — whether it is the Lok Sabha or the Assembly polls,” he said. The SP leader added that the policies of Congress are never in the interest of the country. “We have given support to the UPA in a special situation to keep communal forces at bay,” he said.
