Nurse Jacintha had left 3 suicide notes, few emails
Indian-born nurse Jacintha Saldanha was found hanging by a scarf from her wardrobe door on Decem-ber 7, the Westminster coroner’s court heard Thursday morning.
Jacintha, 46, who worked at King Edward VII Hospital, was found by a colleague and a security guard at her flat. They were the ones who alerted the emergency services, Met police deputy chief inspector James Harman told coroner Fiona Wilcox.
Mr Harman revealed Jacintha had some injuries on her wrist.
Jacintha, a devout Konkani Christian, left three suicide notes for her family — two were found in her room and another among her possessions, he said. She also wrote some emails to explain her action. “There are no suspicious circumstances apparent at this time,” he said. Details about these notes and emails contained were not divulged.
