Obama hopes for 'tangible results' during India visit
Washington: US President Barack Obama is confident of achieving a 'tangible' result during his maiden visit to India next month, the White House said today.
"The President is involved in fairly regular meetings with the national security team to ensure a successful visit not long after the elections. It's an important trip," the White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters at his daily news conference.
"We understand... from the viewpoint...economically,..
what we have to do to create jobs, to grow our exports, to ensure that it just doesn't just fall on American consumers to drive world demand. That's a lot of what you will hear the President talk about on that trip, and hopefully have some tangible results from it," Gibbs said.
The dates of Obama trip has not been announced yet, but he is expected to arrive in India a day after Diwali.
