Omar meets PM, Sonia and PC

Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah on Saturday held parleys with the top Central leadership, including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and home minister P. Chidambaram, and apprised them of the prevailing situation in the state. The PM on his part assured full support to his government.

The CM apprised the Prime Minister about the deliberations of the recent all-party meeting at Srinagar and gave a detailed account of the resolutions passed in the conference and suggestions put forth by leaders of various political parties. Mr Abdullah stressed on political engagement on the internal and external fronts to address all issues pertaining to Jammu and Kashmir, a statement said.
