One day salary deduction of traffic cops for jam in Meerut

The top brass of Meerut police has decided to deduct one day salary of Traffic Sub Inspectors who failed to ensure free flow of vehicles in their respective areas, leading to long traffic holdovers.

SSP Satyanarayan on Wednesday issued an order in this context, officials said. On Sunday, the SSP held a meeting with the TSIs and informed them about the move to deduct one day salary if traffic holdovers were found in their respective areas.

Meanwhile, the SSP has asked people of the district to inform him about traffic holdovers so that the action could be initiated against the concerned TSI, the officials said.
