One killed, another injured in clash over hoisting flag
One person was killed and another injured in an exchange of fire between two groups over the right to hoist the tricolour at a petrol pump here in Kaimur district, police said. An argument broke out between the two groups led by Rajiv Lochan and Narendra Singh over the right to hoist the flag at the outlet. The two sides used fire arms in the clash in which Lochan was killed, they said.
Vinod Singh of Narendra's group received a bullet injury in the incident. Narendra has been arrested and taken to local police station for questioning, police said.
Both Lochan and Narendra were having a dispute over the ownership of the petrol pump outlet which has been lying closed for past few years.
