Padmanabha wealth temple property: Oommen Chandy

Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said on Tuesday he did not approve of the CPM stand that Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple wealth belonged to the nation.

Chandy said he was not in favour of a Guruvayur model committee for protection of the temple wealth.
Those who caused widespread damage to public property have no right to say the temple wealth belongs to the public, he said.

“CPM State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan has the right to express his views,” he added. “I have the right to express my views. But I cannot agree with his views. The wealth belongs to the temple.”

The Chief Minister said the matter was pending before the Supreme Court. “The final decision rests with the court,” he added.
