Pak draft to detail Jundal confession
The Union ministries of foreign affairs and home have drafted an elaborate note to be given to Pakistan which will spell out important disclosures by top Lashkar-e-Tayyaba terrorist Abu Jundal particularly on the issue of state support. In the light of fresh revelations, India will once again reiterate the demand for voice samples of suspects in the 26/11 case that Pakistan has been strongly opposing till now citing legal issues.
Sources confirmed that no details or hard evidence that may hamper the ongoing investigations into the case will be shared with Pakistan.
“Only the evidence that will not affect the future investigations will be provided to Pakistan,” a top government official said. Home ministry officials also maintained that there was no need to share Jundal’s disclosures beyond a point as Pakistan will continue to live in the ‘’denial mode’’.
On Pakistan’s demand that India should share Jundal’s interrogation details, the officials said that ‘’usually such details are shared to prosecute a criminal in another country . But Jundal is in our custody,” the official said.
Jundal has revealed that top ISI operative Sajid Mir was the main point person appointed by the Pak intelligence agency to co-ordinate activities with the Lashkar.
Sajid Mir, a highly secretive operative has been on the radar of Indian intelligence agencies for quite sometime now.
In another important revelation Jundal has claimed that the LeT planned to attack Maharashtra Police Academy at Nasik. But the plan was aborted as the terror outfit could not get an insider to leak vital information.
