Pak hopeful of meeting
Pakistan expects normalisation of ties with India in the coming days with the “almost certain” meeting of Prime Ministers Nawaz Sharif and Manmohan Singh on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly summit.
“The agenda is being worked out. The meeting is almost certain unless something drastic happens,” a senior government official here said. A foreign ministry spokesperson said adviser on foreign affairs and national security Sartaj Aziz will hold talks with Indian external affairs minister Salman Khurshid in Kyrgyzstan on Saturday on the sideline of Shangahi Cooperation Organisation meeting. .
About the proposed meeting between the Prime Ministers‚ the spokesperson said both the governments are in touch to work out the date.
