Pak prisoner dies, body is sent home

The body of Pakistani prisoner Sanaullah Ranjay, who died Thursday morning at Chandigarh’s PGIMER after multi-organ failure, was handed over to the Pakistani authorities and flown back in a special flight. Sanullah was brutally attacked by a fellow prisoner in Jammu jail last week.
A PGIMER spokesman said Sanaullah, battling for life for the past six days, died despite doctors’ best efforts to revive him. His body was handed to the Pakistanis after a post-mortem.

Ali Haider Gilani, son of former Pakistan Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen who killed one person and wounded five in the attack on his convoy on Thursday.
