Parents beat girl to death in Andhra Pradesh

In a gruesome incident, parents allegedly beat their daughter to death and later performed the last rites immediately in an attempt to hush up the matter in Pudimadaka village near Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh , under Atchyuthapuram mandal here on Wednesday.

According to reports reaching here, Merugu Kasulamma, 17, of Pudimadaka village was married to her maternal uncle, Dumudu, a month ago against her will.

About three days ago, she reportedly left home without informing anyone. On Wednesday, one of her cousins brought her back home.

After returning home Kasulamma and her parents, Rajaiah and Peda Kasulamma, got into a heated argument and they later allegedly beat her so severely that she fell unconscious and died.

Her parents then secretly burnt the body without even informing the neighbours. On being informed about the incident the Achyuthapuram police rushed to Pudimadaka and questioned parents.
