Passenger train catches fire in Gulbarga
Two people were killed on Tuesday when a coach of the Hyderabad-Solapur Falaknuma express caught fire at Gulbarga station in Karnataka, an official said here. The cause of the fire is not known.
"Two people have died and six have been injured in the incident," railway ministry spokesperson Anil Saxena told IANS. The injured have been admitted to the Gulbarga Civil Hospital.
Railway sources said a second class coach of the train caught fire at 1.45 p.m. while it was at the Gulbarga station.
The fire erupted when some passengers were inside the train. The fire was controlled in an hour.
