Patna ‘psycho’ sodomised, killed boys

In the third arrest in four months of criminals in Patna described as “psychopathic killers,” a man accused of sodomising at least two boys before killing them by crushing their heads with a stone was arrested a day after the discovery of a boy’s body spread shock waves across the Bihar capital.

Alarmed by the ghastly nature of the murder, Patna police used a speedy, scientific probe by use of sniffer dogs and forensic tests to trace Kailash Prasad, alias Nepali, the accused, on Thursday. During interrogation, Prasad confessed to having sodomised and then killed Monu Kumar, 12, whose father had lodged a missing complaint with the police. Prasad also confessed to have killed another boy, Rahul Kumar, 11, in a similar manner and at the same spot, Bihar Vidyapeeth Garden under Digha police station, in January. “The accused, apparently a drug addict, seems to be a psychopathic killer of young boys. We solved this case in less than 24 hours of tracing the boy’s body and also recovered the bloodstained stone used in this murder. A fast, scientific investigation involving sniffer dogs and FSL tests made it possible,” said Patna SSP Manu Maharaj, who has garnered high respects from Patna residents in just weeks after taking charge due to his insistence on quick response of the police and scientific probe methods.
Prasad also confessed that he was involved in two other murder cases in the city, said Maharaj. With Patna currently witnessing a surge in incidents of crime, Maharaj has asked all police stations to make detailed lists of all heinous criminal cases and ensure the perpetrators’ arrest in a time-bound manner.
One Mukesh Thakur, 22, described as a “psychopathic killer of women” for allegedly killing three Patna women in a month and brutally attacking over a dozen women with bricks, was arrested in February. Chandan Singh, another alleged psychopathic killer, was arrested in December 2012 for allegedly walking in a drunken state with a gun and shooting at anyone he saw on his path.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
