Pawar takes a dig at Kalmadi

The rivalry between the NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Common Wealth Games organising committee (OC) chief Suresh Kalmadi re-surfaced on Saturday, when Mr Pawar took a jibe at Mr Kalmadi during a function in Pune.

Both the leaders are known to not let go of any opportunity to put down each other. On Saturday, Mr Pawar cited a funny SMS about Mr Kalmadi, which has recently been doing the rounds. The OC chief is already facing severe backlash for bad management of the CWG.
“These Games have become a joke. Recently, I heard that due to severe criticism, the chief of the OC decided to commit suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling. But ironically, the ceiling came down. Maybe the quality of the ceiling was not good,” Mr Pawar said. The joke was regarding an incident that occurred a couple of days ago, when few tiles came off the false ceiling at the J.N. Stadium Complex.
