‘Peeping Tom’ teacher gets suspension orders in AP
A teacher, Santhosh Kumar, was on Tuesday suspended for peeping into bathrooms when girls were having their bath, and misbehaving with students, at the Tribal Ashram School for Girls at Medi-guda in Ichoda mandal.
The order was issued Utnoor project officer M. Mutyalaraju of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency project. Charge memos were also issued to headmaster of the girl's school, Mallaiah, and deputy warden Shanta Bai for their negligence.
Meanwhile, Ichoda poli-ce arrested Mr Kumar following a complaint by the parents of a girl student.
Mr Kumar was a teacher at another primary school in the same village, but was living in the residential quarters of the school where his wife Shanta Bai is the deputy warden.
After complaints that Mr Kumar used to do his wife’s duties with enthusiasm and used to misbehave with girls in the name of disciplining them when he actually held no position in the school, the project officer ordered an inquiry by the assistant tribal welfare officer.
Mr Kumar was suspended based on the report that said the allegations were proved during the inquiry.
Parents who complained said they did not want their child to attend the school until the teacher vacates the premises.
Official are making efforts to shift the accused teacher and his wife to another school somewhere else under ITDA, despite the inquiry report proving the charges against him.
