Pinarayi Vijayan aides hauled up for sexual indiscretions
Two CPM leaders close to the state boss, Pinarayi Vijayan, have been hauled up for their alleged sexual indiscretions.
The CPM secretariat on Wednesday stripped the former Ernakulam district secretary, Gopi Kottamurikkal, of his post after he was found guilty of sexual misconduct by a panel, headed by the LDF convener, Vaikom Viswan.
Party secretariat members in Ernakulam had lodged a complaint, alleging that Kottamurikkal had illicit relations with a woman lawyer. They had also handed over CDs containing visuals of the duo’s sex in office. Both were caught in a sting by office staff.
In the other case, two magistrates separately ordered the police to probe former the Kannur district secretary, P. Sasi, for his alleged liaison with the wife of former Kannur district DYFI leader Ajith at a nature therapy centre in Nileshwaram in January 2011.
The Kannur judicial first class magistrate ordered the Town police to probe and a similar order was issued by the Hosdurg judicial first class magistrate (II) to the Nileshwaram police. Crime editor T. P. Nandakumar had slapped the complaint against Sasi in both courts.
CPM general secretary Prakash Karat, Viswan and the Opposition leader V.S. Achuthanandan are witnesses in the petition.
