PM calls meet to review cyber threats

As government websites and online networks face constant threat from hackers, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has called a high-level meeting on Thursday to review security of sensitive cyber domains.

The meeting is also expected to discuss ways to protect the online systems from such attacks. Sources in the government informed that the National Security Council (NSC) meeting is also scheduled to decide on the steps to be taken to protect the country’s cyber architecture and designate organisations to counter such offensives.
