PM has lied on K-plant, says Udayakumar

Anti-nuclear energy campaigner S.P. Udayakumar said on Friday PM Manmohan Singh 'brought disrepute to his office' by making a 'baseless' charge that foreign NGOs were funding the agitation against Koodankulam Nuclear Power Project
.
“It is unfortunate PM has made the allegations without documentary proof. It is strange people who are bowing before the US are linking us to the US. We are not slaves of the US. We are Indian citizens and we are fighting for our future generations,” he said and challenged PM to show documentary proof or
withdraw his remarks.

Mr Udayakumar was reacting to PM’s interview to Science magazine Thursday where he alleged some US-based NGOs were responsible for the difficulties at Koodankulam.
