PM reviews price rise situation

Differences between finance minister Pranab Mukherjee and agriculture minister Sharad Pawar cropped up over the handling of onion prices at the meeting called by PM Manmohan Singh on food inflation. The meeting was inconclusive. Sources in the agriculture ministry said Mr Pawar expressed reservations over the possible impact of the income-tax raids on onion traders. Later Mr Pawar held a meeting of top officials of the agriculture ministry.
