Police busts ‘rave’ after tip-off, 22 held
Acting on a tip-off that drugs were being consumed at a rave party in a bungalow in Malad (west), the police busted a party early on Sunday and arrested 22 partygoers.
Sources claimed that it was a gay party. Incidentally, the police did not find any drugs. However, 22 persons were still booked for allegedly behaving indecently in public and for playing music beyond the permissible time limit.
According to the Malwani police, the party was being held at the Sea Shell bungalow situated in Erangal village on the Madh Road.
“We busted the party at around 2 am. Around 25 to 30 persons were present at the party. We also found five to six eunuchs dancing indecently in the venue. They had taken liquor permit, but were playing loud music beyond the permissible time limit of 10 pm. We managed to round up 22 of them, while the others escaped from the spot,” said an official.
