Pregnant woman raped, gives birth to premature baby

Two youths allegedly raped a 25-year-old pregnant woman who later gave birth to a premature baby in a hospital in the district, police said today.

The woman had gone into the field in Bholapur village yesterday when two youths allegedy raped her, they said.

The woman was later admitted to a hospital where she gave birth to a premature baby, police said adding her condition was stable.

The two youths, hailing from neighbouring Manikapur village, were absconding.
