Prez hosts At Home for Yudhoyono, dignitaries

President Pratibha Patil hosted the customary at home reception to mark the 62nd Republic Day at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday evening, where ministers, diplomats and other top dignitaries were present.

The President welcomed Indonesian counterpart Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who was the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations, and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono. The event was held at Mughal Gardens.
Amongst the dignitaries present on the occasion were vice-president Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar.
Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee, external affairs minister S.M. Krishna, home minister P. Chidambaram and defence minister A.K. Antony were seen chatting with the assembled diplomatic corps.
High commissioner of Pakistan Shaukat Aziz was also seen talking with Army Chief General V.K. Singh .
