Probe into Pakistani native’s ad film role
The Thrikkakara police has registered a case against two persons of Vadakara for offering a role to a Pakistan native in an ad film that was shot around Infopark, violating the norms.
The accused have been identified as Kunjabdhulla and Krishnakumar of Kichu Films. The police has launched a probe into how the Pakistan national managed to leave the state after the shoot.
According to police, the duo made arrangements for a Pakistani tourist to act in the ad film.
The shooting schedule for the film was completed in a day on June 29. It is learnt that the Pakistan national left the state the next day itself.
Police said that the foreigner was on a tourist visa and added that prior sanction should be taken before shooting such a film.
Interestingly, the foreigner managed to escape from the Infopark an area which comes under tight security.
Thrikkakara sub-inspector of police T.A. Abdul Sathar said that the Pakistani tourist acted in
an advertisement for a bag-manufacturing company. The case is now against accused and the agency behind the film-shooting.
Police registered the case after a tipoff from the intelligence bureau. The case has been registered under the Foreigners (Amendment) Act, 2004.
