Punjab polls: 801 nominations rejected

As many as 801 nominations were rejected during scrutiny as withdrawal of papers started on Saturday for the January 30 Punjab Assembly election.

During scrutiny on Friday, nomination papers of 801 aspirants were rejected, a spokesman of the state Election Office said.

The last date of withdrawals is January 16.
