Purohit told me of ISI, right-wing links: Swami
Sunil Joshi was involved in the Ajmer Dargah blast case in 2007. He himself was present there. Two Muslim boys were also involved in the operation. Muslim boys were provided by a top leader of right-wing outfit.
l When I asked Sunil Joshi that if he is caught by the police, then the name of top leaders of right-wing outfits would also surface? On this, Sunil Joshi told me that he had fears of life threat from certain top leaders of the right-wing outfits.
l When I came to know about the murder of Sunil Joshi, I immediately spoke to Lt. Col. Purohit and asked him to inquire about the murderers of Sunil Joshi. Since Purohit was in intelligence, it was easy for him.
l I remember that once Lt. Col. Purohit had told me that some of the top leaders of right-wing outfits have certain connections with the ISI. He also told me that he had documents in this regard. He, however, never showed me those documents.
These are some of the startling revelations made by Swami Aseemanand, prime accused in the Mecca Masjid blast case. A top right-wing outfit activist, Swami Aseemanand, has confessed that he and several other top brass of radical Hindu outfits had a direct role in Malegaon and Ajmer blasts. He has also confessed that he knew about the plan of 2007 Samjhauta Express blast too.
In his confessional statement before a special CBI court under Section 164 of the CrPC, Aseemanand, who was recently arrested by the CBI, has given a detailed description of the involvement of the right-wing activists in several terror attacks across the country during the last three years.
“Aseemanand has also revealed the role of right-wing extremists in executing bomb blasts in Mecca Masjid, Malegaon, Samjhauta and Ajmer Sharif blasts. Probe by the agency has revealed that Aseemanand and his accomplices were involved in Samjhauta blast also,” sources said. Sources revealed that Aseemanand, along with Sunil Joshi masterminded both the Malegaon and Ajmer blasts.
The CBI is likely to send a team to Madhya Pradesh again for collecting the files related to the murder of Sunil Joshi. Sources in the agency said that mystery behind Joshi’s murder would further help the agencies in solving Ajmer, Mecca Masjid and Malegaon blasts cases. The Anti-Terrorist Squad of Rajasthan, which is probing Ajmer blast, as well as the CBI want to know the reasons behind the mysterious murder of Sunil Joshi. Joshi was shot dead by some unidentified persons at Dewas in MP on December 29, 2007.
Sources alleged that Madhya Pradesh police was not cooperating with the Rajasthan ATS and central investigating agency. Earlier, a team of officials of the Rajasthan ATS and central investigating agencies had been sent to Indore in MP in connection with the investigation of these blast cases, but the police authorities concerned did not cooperate, sources alleged.
