Radar system from czech rep reaches cial
Kochi: The radar system procured by the Airports Authority of India from Eldis Radar Systems, Czech Republic, for the radar facility at the Cochin International Airport Ltd has reached Nedumbassery.
Once installed, the system will reduce the landing time from the present level of 6 to 9 minutes to approximately 3 minutes.
The CIAL has already completed the construction of the navigational aid building to house the radar.
“Installation of the Radar at CIAL will tremendously improve the safety of the airport as well as optimize the runway utilization,” said A. C. K. Nair, airport director.
