Radia firm to block film

In a bid to stop the screening of the movie 2G Radia-Tion, on the 2G telecom scam and alleged involvement of corporate lobbyist Niira Radia, her PR firm, Vaishnavi Corporate Communic-ations, has decided to send a legal notice to the filmmakers.

The corporate house also intends to get a court injunction, sources disclosed.
It may be recalled that item girl Poonam Jhawar is set to play Niira Radia in the film.
The film is expected to trace Ms Radia’s life as an entrepreneur. Earlier, speaking to the media, Poonam had claimed that the film “will not be an entirely true account of Radia’s life”. Speaking to the media in Mumbai, the actress said she was “amazed to see how cool and calm Radia has been ever since the controversy erupted”.
Poonam, who had said she wanted to meet Ms Radia “before the shooting starts in April next year”, maintained that neither the corporate lobbyist nor the government “would be shown in bad light”.
