Rahul an 'Amul Baby', says Achuthanandan
Taking a dig at the Congress Party and its leaders, Kerala Chief Minister V. S. Achuthanandan has called Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi an 'Amul Baby'.
"Everyone knows Rahul Gandhi is an Amul Baby and he has fielded Amul babies in some constituencies," said Achuthanandan.
Hitting back at Gandhi for commenting on his advancing age, Achuthanandan said: "Grey hair was not the sign of my growing age, neither the young age proof of my youth. Not bowing my head before the bourgeoise is my youth."
Meanwhile, campaigning for his party here, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Nitin Gadkari has said that Congress party is to be blamed for the price rise in the country.
Gadkari also said that during the Congress rule more than one million farmers have committed suicide across India and if the people of Kerala elect a BJP government then it would make sure that public money is spent properly for the welfare and betterment of the poor.
"We would make roads, schools, water plants; we would spend money for the betterment of the poor of this country and this is a promise," said Gadkari.
Gadkari further said that in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP would come to power as the party has vision for development and it will take India on the path of growth and progress.
He also said that BJP would provide a corruption-free government.
The elections to the 140-member Kerala Assembly will take place on April 13.
