Rahul meets Dantewada victim kin

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday visited the house of CRPF jawan Vinod Kumar Yadav, who was killed by Naxals in Dantewada, and met members of the bereaved family.
He assured the family of support from the Central government and enquired about the problems being faced by them. He promised to personally take up the matter with the concerned authorities when the jawan’s widow, Savitri Devi, told him that the family had not yet received the compensation announced.

Mr Gandhi asked the parents of the slain jawan if they would allow their second son to join the forces and the entire family said that they were ready to let their second son join the Army.
