Rajasthan cong, bjp in word war
The BJP has galvanised its rank and file to mobilise people for Mr L.K. Advani’s Janchetna Yatra, entering Jodhpur on November 9. But the yatra has sparked off a war of words between the ruling Congress and the Opposition BJP over the issue of corruption.
“Advani should speak on rampant corruption during the previous BJP government,” says state Congress president Chandarbhan.
The Congress party has also circulated a list of 10 questions related to alleged cases of corruption while the BJP was in power in Rajasthan.
The yatra will remain in Rajasthan till November 12 while Mr Advani will address seven public meetings during this period. Besides, he will also visit pilgrim centres like Pushkar and is expected to offer chadar at Ajmer shrine.
The BJP leaders are trying to make it a success amid infighting and factionalism.
