Rajasthan: Modi to be star campaigner

Though the state unit of BJP is making all efforts to create a conducive atmosphere to win the upcoming Assembly elections to be held in the end of 2013, it is set that the poll campaign will have a seal and imprint of Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi. The sources said Mr Modi will be the star campaigner in Rajasthan.
The sources said former chief minister and state BJP president Vasundhara Raje has been in touch with Modi and had three meetings with him in the last four months. ‘Before testing water in Uttar Pardesh, Mr Modi will like to prove his abilities in Rajasthan because it will be easy for him,” said a source close to the BJP. The sources said following the party’s defeat in Karnataka despite his campaign. Mr Modi needs a ground where he can prove his charisma.
The state BJP has been busy with its ongoing Suraj Sankalp Yatra and party leaders are planning a big show in Jaipur when the yatra concludes. Mr Modi will be the star attraction when the party completes its Suraj Yatra. The former CM Raje never forgets to refer Mr Modi as Vikas Purush in each of her public assemblies during the Suraj Yatra. She praised Mr Modi for bringing development in Gujarat. The party leaders welcomed Mr Modi’s appointment.
