Rivalry in C’Garh cong turns ugly
The rivalry in Chhattisgarh Congress on Sunday took an ugly turn with the anti-Ajit Jogi group circulating pamphlets apparently to denigrate the alleged rebel party leader’s image in public.
The leaflets which were found in circulation in the state party headquarters here on Sunday launched a “personal” attack on the “mutinous” Congress leader Mr Jogi, daring him to answer some “uncomfortable” questions. “Mr Jogi is visiting Church, doing politics in the name of Guru Ghasi Das (founder saint of Satnamis, a dalit community of Chhattisgarh), and fighting elections from Assembly constituency reserved for ST,” the pamphlet alleged. The leaflets claimed that Mr Jogi, whose ancestors belonged to ST community, has converted to Christianity.
