Rosaiah go to New Delhi on Tuesday
Andhra Pradesh chief minister K Rosaiah will go to New Delhi on Tuesday to brief the Congress high command about the political developments in the state including telecast of a controversial story by a news channel owned dissident MP Jaganmohan Reddy.
The chief minister has sought an appointment with Congress chief Sonia Gandhi but it has not been fixed yet, official sources said.
Mr Rosaiah is expected to brief top AICC leaders about the latest political developments in the state like the agitation by students in Andhra-Rayalaseema regions against the postponement of sub-inspectors recruitment test and the recent trouble in Hyderabad over the same issue.
"Primarily, he may discuss about the telecast of a controversial and critical story on Sakshi television channel owned by Jaganmohan. already, PCC has sent a report to the Congress high command on the issue," a Congress leader close to the chief minister said.
Mr Rosaiah would also take up the issue of deleting clause 14 (f) of the Presidential order to make Hyderabad a part of zone-VI. The AP Assembly passed a resolution in February seeking deletion of the clause but so far the Centre has not acted on it leading to unrest in Telangana.
The recruitment of police sub-inspectors (SIs) is now linked to the deletion of the contentious clause in the Presidential order.
Speculation is also rife that the chief minister may seek the high command's permission for the long-overdue expansion of his council of ministers.
Mr Rosaiah is currently camping in Puttaparthi to take part in the 85th birthday celebrations of Satya Sai Baba and will fly to New Delhi from Bengaluru tomorrow morning.
